Welcoming fall + things I’m currently crushing on

It’s always a little sad to see summer fade away, but we wouldn’t look forward to it nearly as much if we didn’t have to miss it for a while.  Plus, fall really isn’t that bad- especially here in North Carolina.  The air is crisp, the trees get painted in Autumn’s fiery pallet, and chilly mornings somehow seem to put a bounce back in your step.

I’ll definitely miss all the tomatoes summer gives us, but the separation is made a little easier with Snow White apples like this one.  Nothing like a good crunch.

Other things I’m currently crushing on:

Victoria Beckham being named UNAIDS Goodwill Ambassador.  I personally think celebrity worship is out of control (they’re just people like you and me, right?).  But I love it when someone uses their fame for positive endeavors.

This Yuzu Braised Pulled Pork with Coriander .  Feels like a perfect meal to ring in fall, plus I love Joshua’s resolve to only use responsibly raised meat in all his recipes.

This post on The Art of Tea.  There’s nothing like a good cup of tea to melt away a bad day.  And how gorgeous are those pictures?!

These Easy Chicken Gyros & Tzatziki Sauce. Cover anything with tzatiki and you’ve sold me on it.  Must make for my honey since he didn’t make it to Greece this year.

This Cottonwood Beanie from Coal.  Perfect for the aforementioned honey who hasn’t quite learned how to cope with the cold.  Love that it’s made in the U.S. from recycled cotton.
